Project Overview

Agricultural products comprise a significant portion of the cargo that Maruzen Cold Storage transports, which typically require cold storage solutions when warehoused. For this reason, Maruzen Cold Storage operates a 150,000 sq. ft. building dedicated to the handling of agricultural products under controlled refrigerated storage. The temperature and humidity of each of their 16 cold rooms are independently controlled.

Carlisle Energy worked with EnerNOC to prepare a savings analysis and found that by retrofitting (39) evaporator coils at their facility with Carlisle ECM Controllers and (98) EC Motors ranging from ½ to 2.0 HP, Maruzen Cold Storage will save approximately $766,225.20 in the next five years. Southern California Edison’s incentive of $67,999 for our Carlisle ECM Controller and EC Motors allowed this project to have an ROI of less than 13 months.
